Senator Responds to Obama Citizenship Issue

Two weeks ago, I challenged the Congressmen and Senators of our Commonwealth of Kentucky, asking each elected official to speak out concerning President Obama’s ongoing “Citizenship Eligibility” questions.
“Christians” considered Radicals by Missouri Law Enforcement

In what it calls an effort to prepare it’s officers for the possibility of violence against police or government from Militia groups, the state of Missouri has prepared a document through the Missouri Information Analysis Center and disseminated it to Highway Patrol (DPS) officers. The document should be of concern to Christians. Why? It seems that the word Christian is used in the document with regards to radicals, or what is termed “extreme right wing circles” and is used in the document under the header of “Christian Identity”. Some or the red flags mentioned in the document include political bumper stickers for third-party candidates, such as U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, who ran for president last year; talk of conspiracy theories, such as the plan for a superhighway linking Canada to Mexico; and possession of subversive literature. In one case recently in another state, a woman refused to identify herself at a “random” traffic checkpoint and was arrested. While searching her car, an officer found a pocket copy of the U.S. Constitution and called her a radical.
To be of “One Accord”

“And all who believed were together and had all things common. And they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need. And continuing with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:44-47 These scriptures describe, in a beautifully simplistic way, the attitude, atmosphere and approval of true fellowship amongst Christians who gather in the name of Jesus Christ.
Where Did Denominations Come From?

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” I Corinthians 12:13 “Where did denominations come from?” This question is often asked of me by the person who has wearied of going from one “church” to the next, trying to find a place they might finally “fit in with.” My heart goes out to Christians who have wandered from building to building trying to find true fellowship that is described to intimately in the Book of Acts and the Epistle letters. A Baptist preacher from Massachusetts once told me, “The reason for denominations is because God desires ‘walls of separation’ in order to keep bad doctrine from creeping in.” Unfortunately, this “teacher” was and still is, promoting an exclusivity or “closed fellowship” mentality – doctrines strongly rebuked by the teaching of our Apostles. Is this scriptural? No.

“Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him (Jesus Christ), Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? He (Jesus Christ) answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” Mark 7:5-9
