“God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence” (I Corinthians 1:27–29).
Perilous Times and God’s Sure Word
Sep 07"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." (2 Timothy 3:1) These sobering words introduce the last message of the apostle Paul just before his martyrdom. Instead of the world being converted to Christ and getting better and better as the gospel goes out around the world, "evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived" (2 Timothy 3:13).
