A one-inch-long squid ink sac, still black, was discovered when UK paleontologists cracked open a rock in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. After mixing its contents with some liquid ammonia, the scientists were able to draw on paper a picture of the extinct squid using its own ink.

Most diamonds are formed at depths of 150 or so miles. Deep diamonds, however, formed at depths of over 400 miles. The discovery of a new cache of deep diamonds near Eurelia, Southern Australia, has caused some researchers to speculate that they formed much more recently than previously believed.

Insisting that the earth and the universe are young, only 6,000 years old or so, does not make the biblical view popular in today’s enlightened “scientific” culture. It would be so easy just to go along with the view believed and followed by the overwhelming majority of scientists—and taught in nearly all universities and museums around the world—that the universe is 13–14 billion years old and the earth 4.5 billion years old.
