Cast Off the Works of Darkness
Sep 17In these days of moral confusion, with attitudes and actions once outlawed by society now being defended and favored (e.g., sexual promiscuity and perversion), and with once-honored attributes now ridiculed (e.g., chastity, spirituality), there are great pressures on Christians to compromise with these works of darkness.
False Prophets and Exorcist
Sep 15Everything we need for doctrine and practice until Christ returns has already been given us, in the written word of God, the Bible, and it is our duty and privilege to believe and obey it.
The Sin of Complaining
Jul 29[Translate] “And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul” (Psalm 106:15). Christians who complain about their circumstances would do well to ponder this sobering verse and its background. God had greatly blessed His people, Israel, delivering them supernaturally from slavery in Egypt, protecting them against their enemies–even miraculously supplying...
“Christians” considered Radicals by Missouri Law Enforcement
Mar 20In what it calls an effort to prepare it’s officers for the possibility of violence against police or government from Militia groups, the state of Missouri has prepared a document through the Missouri Information Analysis Center and disseminated it to Highway Patrol (DPS) officers. The document should be of concern to Christians. Why? It seems that the word Christian is used in the document with regards to radicals, or what is termed “extreme right wing circles” and is used in the document under the header of “Christian Identity”. Some or the red flags mentioned in the document include political bumper stickers for third-party candidates, such as U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, who ran for president last year; talk of conspiracy theories, such as the plan for a superhighway linking Canada to Mexico; and possession of subversive literature. In one case recently in another state, a woman refused to identify herself at a “random” traffic checkpoint and was arrested. While searching her car, an officer found a pocket copy of the U.S. Constitution and called her a radical.
Catholic Leader’s Visit to Jerusalem May Ban Jews From Western Wall
Mar 16Originally reported by “Israel National News”, the planned visit by the Catholic church’s Benedict XVI to the Western Wall (Kotel) may force a ban on Jews from praying there for the first time since their holy site was restored to Israel after 2,000 years. Benedict has said his visit to Israel in mid-May is devoted to “unity’ and “peace.” Security officials have been discussing the issue with Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who said he is vehemently opposed to the idea of banning Jews from praying at the wall during Catholic Church leader’s impending visit. Government authorities responsible for the safety of the Pope want to clear the area the evening before his visit until he leaves.
