Beliefs
1. We believe in one God eternally existing as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
2. We believe that God has revealed himself in the Scriptures of the Old (law) and New (blood) Testaments, the inspired Word of God, and supremely in his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
3. We believe that in the beginning God created all things by His Son, Jesus Christ. He made man in the divine image, with free will, moral character, and a spiritual nature.
4. We believe that man fell by sinning, bringing depravity and death upon the whole human race; that as sinner, man is self-centered and self-willed, unwilling and unable to break with sin.
5. We believe that Adam and Eve “died” spiritually the very moment they disobeyed God’s instructions – and “died” physically much later. All men are born dead spiritually and all men must die and then be judged by God Himself.
6. We believe that there is only one Mediator between God and men, the Son of Man Christ Jesus, who died to redeem us from sin that separates us eternally from God – and arose for our justification – there is no other mediator between man and God except Jesus Christ – knowing that Mary is a member of the Christian church and needing to be forgiven of her sins as all must be.
7. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone, a free gift bestowed by God on those who repent and believe that Jesus Christ is God and as the only Truth, Way and Life.
8. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, effects the new birth, gives guidance in life, empowers for service, and enables perseverance in faith and holiness and seals the true believer until the day of our salvation.
9. We believe that the true church is the body of Christ, the brotherhood of the redeemed, a disciplined people obedient to the Word of God, and a fellowship of love, intercession, and healing – with salvation thru the blood of Jesus Christ, bound together as one body in Him.
10. We believe that Christ commissioned the church to go into all the world, making disciples of all the nations, and ministering to every human need by the preaching of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
11. We believe it is the will of God that there should be ministers to teach the Word, to serve as leaders, to administer grace and instruction, to lead the church in the exercise of discipline and maturity, and to serve according the the gifts the Holy Spirit imparts on each believer.
12. We believe that those who repent and believe should be immersed in water as a public proclamation of baptism with the Spirit, cleansing from sin, and commitment to Christ – baptism not saving one’s soul from hell but as a living testimony of a new choice to follow Jesus Christ and His Truth and His Way, having died to self in order to live in Him.
13. We believe that the church should observe the communion of the Lord’s Supper as a symbol of his broken body and shed blood, and of the fellowship of his church, until his return – knowing that the unleavened bread and priestly wine (non-alcoholic) symbolizes Jesus Christ obedience to the Father to shed His blood, to die in our place, to take God’s wrath upon Himself as a perfect sinless sacrifice for each soul who will believe in Him alone to save them from the wrath to come – the bread in wine never becomes literally Christ body or blood such as the “Catholic Eucharist”.
14. We believe in the washing of the saints’ feet as a symbol of brotherhood, cleansing, and service, and in giving the right hand of fellowship and the holy kiss as symbols of Christian love – done out of a contrite and humbleness on the part of the giver as well as the receiver – never by tradition or show.
15. We believe that God has established unique roles for man and woman, symbolized by God’s order – man created from God and woman created from man but in faith – submitting to one another in one accord as both submit to the authority of Jesus Christ.
16. We believe that Christian marriage is intended by God to be the union of one man and one woman for life, and that Christians shall marry only a fellow follower of Jesus Christ – God making no distinctions between a man’s race, color or origin – singleness being a gift by the Holy Spirit as well as marriage; remarriage being allowed for the saint who’s spouse died, was unrepentant unfaithfulness in marriage or abandons the marriage altogether.
17. We believe that Christians are not to be conformed to the world, but should seek to conform to Christ in every area of life – literally dying to one’s selfish desires by a wicked heart through the power of the Holy Spirit given each man upon his coming to faith in Jesus Christ.
18. We believe that Christians are to be open and transparent in life, ever speaking the truth in love and forbearance – not following after vain traditions such as denominations, favorite pastors or works – knowing that each believer is a unique part of the body of Jesus Christ, of which, He alone is the Head.
19. We believe that it is the will of God to show Christian love to all men – to pray for the lost and unrepentant but avoiding the participation in the very acts of perversions outlined in the Bible.
20. We believe that the state is ordained of God to maintain order in society, and that Christians should honor rulers, be subject to authorities, witness to the state, and pray for governments – nevertheless, following Jesus Christ and His doctrines above all other authorities contrary to the Word of God.
21. We believe that at death the unsaved enter into everlasting punishment and the saved into conscious bliss with Christ, who is coming again, and will raise the dead, sit in judgment, and bring in God’s everlasting kingdom.
22. We believe that God had made an everlasting covenant with His chosen Israel and will, at the appointed time, restore a remnant of Jews to eternal fellowship with Him – the Land of Israel belonging to God Himself and Jerusalem, under His authority alone.
23. We believe the church is a “mystery” of the Old Testament but a necessary part of God’s covenant promise to Abraham – as Gentiles today, being grafted in to the olive tree, not replacing it – for our nourishment comes from God’s promises to the Jew through their Messiah, Jesus the Christ.
24. We believe in a young earth representing the six days of creation – four days from Genesis to Matthew – two days from the Gospels to Revelation – one day as joint heirs with Jesus Christ and then, the eternal new heaven and new earth with all things passing away by God’s consuming fire.
25. We believe all men are born into sin and must repent and believe upon the only One who will rightly judge them by His perfectness, that being Jesus Christ. Those rejecting his free gift of forgiveness and salvation – are appointed by Him to an everlasting fire originally meant for the father of lies (satan) and his demons.
26. We believe no one is saved from hell by their own “good works” or by purchasing of indulgences or other financial means, thinking they can come to the Father by any other way except the Door Himself, Jesus Christ.
27. We believe tithes and offering are NOT meant for the church today – instead, Christians are to freely give from the abundance of their heart cheerfully – not to a “local church” but to that Christian “neighbor” who has need.
28. We believe God never ordains denominations or a separation of believers by clergy and laity – this being a form of Nicolatian doctrine Jesus Christ warned against in the Revelation’s seven letters to the seven churches. No man is to be addressed as Pope, Father, Reverend, Pastor or Apostle or any other name that would constitute an office versus the various gifts of servitude.
29. We believe that all true believers are recognized by their love for Jesus Christ and neighbor and the gifting of God the Spirit, holding to sound doctrine and love of His appearing to establish His Kingdom on earth as it already is established in heaven.
30. We believe God has given each man, woman and child the ability to understand His written word as found in the finished revelation of Jesus Christ – the Bible as authored by God the Spirit to men of old – thus, God’s command for each Christ follower to study His word and doctrine – in order to know His Will both individually (of which each is a part of the body of Jesus Christ) and the church (of which Jesus Christ Himself is the Head and Authority).
