Science and the Bible Agree: Casual Sex Is Bad

Countless television programs and movies portray casual sex as “no big deal,” or even normal. But according to the scientific data, that view is all wrong. As it turns out, the brain chemistry associated with sex is exclusively conducive to marriage.

The World, The Flesh and The Devil

The World, The Flesh and The Devil

"This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish." (James 3:15) True wisdom is "from above" and is "pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy" (v. 17). False wisdom, on the other hand, may come from the world outside us ("earthly"), the flesh within us ("sensual"), or the powers of darkness tempting us ("devilish"). All such wisdom leads to "envying and strife . . . confusion and every evil work" (v. 16). Believers, therefore, should be able to recognize the influences of the world, the flesh, and the devil. The good news is that each divine Person of the Triune Godhead is on our side. The Father is opposed to the world, the Spirit to the flesh, and the Son to the devil, and they are well able to give victory.

Catholic Leader’s Visit to Jerusalem May Ban Jews From Western Wall

Mar 16

Originally reported by “Israel National News”, the planned visit by the Catholic church’s Benedict XVI to the Western Wall (Kotel) may force a ban on Jews from praying there for the first time since their holy site was restored to Israel after 2,000 years. Benedict has said his visit to Israel in mid-May is devoted to “unity’ and “peace.” Security officials have been discussing the issue with Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, who said he is vehemently opposed to the idea of banning Jews from praying at the wall during Catholic Church leader’s impending visit. Government authorities responsible for the safety of the Pope want to clear the area the evening before his visit until he leaves.

"Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye service, as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons." Colossians 3:22-25 With all the credibility David Wilkerson seemingly has - apparently he nor those who follow after the validity of such "prophecies" forget God's admonition: "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." II Peter 1:19-21 Enoch spoke of God's coming wrath and his words are found again in the book of Jude. Enoch (and all who prophesied in times past) were driven by God the Holy Spirit alone.

will the lord return and find his children faithful?

"Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?" (Proverbs 20:6) Faithfulness is like a rare and precious gem. It is difficult to find a real such gem, though there are many who will offer their virtues as a substitute. Moses, however, was one such man. "And Moses verily was faithful in all his house." (Hebrews 3:5) So was Abraham. "So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham." (Galatians 3:9) Moses and Abraham were full of faith in Gods Word; therefore they were faithful to Gods Word. The very word "faithful" means "full of faith." God is not impressed with those who boast of themselves and their qualifications or who belittle others.
