“For NOW we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: NOW I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” ~ I Corinthians 13:12

judgment-seat-of-christ-for-believers-largeThe “Love Chapter” of I Corinthians 13 is a study of numerous contrasts – comparing the actions and motives of a worldly person practicing carnal love from that of a person practicing the “Love” of Christ Jesus.

In this particular verse, the Spirit addresses our limited understanding of life and how, in the future, all things will become clear to us when we see Jesus face to face! God reminds the Christian that we are handicapped by a limited understanding of what we are actually seeing on the day to day.

And, because of our finite comprehension, we constantly make judgments and voice opinions of persons, places and things without having the “full truth” of the matter. Therefore, our Lord remains us that we would do well to “mind our own business”, “remain quiet and work with our own hands” and not become known as “busy bodies” who spread gossip, dissension and personal judgments based on our own limited access the facts.

The Day is coming when we ALL will stand before the One who CAN AND WILL EXPOSE THE MOST HIDDEN AND DARK SECRETS OF THE HEART! Perhaps this would be a very good time to remember a warning God issued ALL Christians long ago and then, prepare for our own meeting with Him in a “audience of One”:

“For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” ~ Hebrews 10:30-31
