The Bible has proven to be more historically and archaeologically accurate than any other ancient book. It has been subjected to the minutest scientific textual analysis possible to humanity and has been proven to be authentic in every way.
Every year brings new scientific discoveries that shed light on the past. The Institute for Creation Research is dedicated to the study of origins from a biblical perspective, and ICR News has compiled what we consider to be the top 4 findings related to origin studies from the stories we reported in 2009. The previous installments featured paleontology, biological evolution, and geology, and our final finding focuses on cosmology.

The Institute for Creation Research is dedicated to the scientific study of origins from a biblical perspective, and ICR News has compiled what we consider to be the top 4 findings related to origin studies from the stories we reported in 2009. This first installment will feature breakthrough studies in the field of paleontology, with breakthroughs from biological evolution, geology, and cosmology to follow.
If life evolved from non-life through natural processes, then the organism most likely to resemble the first living cell would probably be the parasitic bacteria of the genus Mycoplasma. It has very little DNA and contains only a small number of proteins, and yet is a functional organism. This “primitive” cell, however, is proving to be anything but simple.
Evidently it would be better for those teachers, seminarians, and others who espouse errors such as humanism, evolution, and other false concepts, that a millstone were hanged about their necks, and that they were drowned in the depth of the sea than to lead astray those “little ones” in their influence.
A recent poll revealed that many Americans believe public school students should be taught all sides of Darwin’s theory of evolution, its weaknesses as well as its strengths.1 Evolutionists, in the face of this data, reason that if only the American public had more “education” on evolution, the poll numbers would reflect in their favor.

Countless television programs and movies portray casual sex as “no big deal,” or even normal. But according to the scientific data, that view is all wrong. As it turns out, the brain chemistry associated with sex is exclusively conducive to marriage.
In Daniel’s case, when God’s truth was excluded, God decided to “crash” the party. In doing so, God taught an unusual lesson about mankind’s accountability for extra-biblical truth. The lesson requires a bit of Aramaic philology (word study), but it sheds light on the academic and governmental politics of today’s creation science controversies.
When the Bible refers to a worldwide Flood in Genesis 7–8, that’s exactly what it means. Not local, not metaphorical, not some crazy dream — the waters covered the whole earth. This was the same conversation I had with two women I met as I hiked the famous Appalachian Trail in upstate New Hampshire.

Nearly every candidate for pastoral ordination has been challenged with the charge given by the Apostle Paul:
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” 2 Timothy 4:2-3
So why will more than 10,000 pastors publically endorse evolutionary naturalism as “compatible” with Christianity during the month of February 2009? One word: Darwin.
On February 12, much of the world will be celebrated the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin, whose popularized notion of evolution has influenced science, education, and many other realms of society for the past 150 years since the publication of his book On the Origin of Species. The media will no doubt hail him as a hero for his contribution to science.
