“For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” II Peter 1:16 – 2:1
Inside the building in classical Arabic is inscribed, “O you People of the Book, overstep not bounds in your religion, and of God speak only the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, is only an apostle of God, and his Word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from him. Believe therefore in God and his apostles, and say not Three. It will be better for you. God is only one God. Far be it from his glory that he should have a son.”
What does G-d say about Jesus Christ?
“And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” Luke 3:22
Key Person or Founder:
Muhammad (570 – 632 A.D.) is the self-proclaimed final “seal” sent by the god “allah.” The Islamic calendar began when Muhammad fled Mecca in 622 A.D.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son (Jesus Christ), whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on High;” Hebrews 1:1-3
Main Writings Followed:
Muhammad claims to have received the “Quran” (Koran”) from an angel called, Gabriel. These writings are used by his followers, called “Muslims.” Additionally, writings from the Psalms and the laws of Moses are used. Muslim “scholars” insist that both Jews and Christians corrupted these writings.
“Being made so much better than the angels, as He (Jesus Christ) hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said He at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when He bringeth in the first begotten into the world, He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him. (Jesus Christ)” Hebrews 1:1-6
What Muslims think of God the Father?:
Muslims believe that “allah” as they know him, is one. The greatest sin is the slandering of or associating anything to this god called, “allah.” They describe this act as “shirk.”
“In the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Word (Jesus Christ) was with God, and the Word (Jesus Christ) was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:1-5
What Muslims think of God the Son, Jesus Christ?:
Though Muslims consider Jesus Christ as one of the most respected of the 124,000 prophets sent by their god, “allah.”, and believe that He was born of a virgin, a great miracle worker and even sinless… they reject Jesus Christ own claim that He is God (Psalm 89:18). Muslims also deny the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His bodily resurrection (Psalm 16:10). Strange considering the glean “truth from David’s psalms!
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He (Jesus Christ) that sat upon him was called Faithful and True (John 14:6), and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew (not even Muhammad), but He himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God (John 1:1-2). And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:11-16
What Muslims think of God the Spirit?:
Muslims believe that “allah” as they know him, has or is a spirit. Muslims reject the bible’s affirmation of the Triune God. Muslims incorrectly assume Christians believe in three Gods. Bible doctrine teaches One God, three distinct persons (Isaiah 6:8); God the Father (I Peter 1:2), God the Son (John 10:30) and God the Spirit (Genesis 1:2).
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:16-21
What Muslims think about “Eternal Destiny?”:
Humans are basically “good” but need guidance. Thus, doing works of good deeds are weighed against works of evil deeds – “allah” and his “mercy’ determines the Muslim’s final destiny; be it heavenly bliss or eternal torment.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:10-20
What Rewards await a Muslim in “heaven.”?
A paradise populated with “houris” or sexual maidens given by their god, “allah” awaits each “righteous Muslim.” Each of these heavenly rewarded men receive resurrected bodies and dwell in a heavenly garden experiencing unlimited sexual pleasures.
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:6- 15
